Saint Viator Lions Hockey 2008 Fall tryout dates set
The Lions 2008-2009 Fall season gets under way:
TRYOUTS
Tuesday August 26 4:30p West Meadows
Wednesday August 27 8:00p West Meadows
Thursday August 28 4:00p West Meadows Lions Join CCHL and MIT
This year the Lion's Varsity team will join the Chicago Catholic Hockey League. The CCHL will make a perfect compliment to the Metro North schedule with games against: Notre Dame, Providence, Fenwick, Marist, Brother Rice and Mount Carmel.
M.I.T.
The Lions JV team will be playing in the Metro Invitational Tournament this year in addition to the Metro North division. Teams include Hindsdale Central, Fremd, PREP, York, Cary Grove, Rockford, Geneva and more. The addition of these games will help solidify the JV schedule for the season. West Meadows Spring League Champions Congratulations to both the Varsity and JV teams on wining the 2008 West Meadows Spring League Championships.
The Varsity team defeated Deerfield 4-1 to take first place, while the JV deafeated the Chargers Midget team 6-5 after being down 4-1 early int he second period. Great job by both teams this spring!
